Plot: Emily Anderson, the daughter of a wealthy businessman, comes to Miami with aspirations of becoming an expert dancer, but soon falls deeply in love with Sean, a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs. The crew, called the MOB, strives to win a contest for a major sponsorship opportunity, but soon Emily's father threatens to destroy the MOB's historic neighborhood and the entire community and build a sizable hotel, as well as in the procedure, displace thousands of people. Emily must band together with Sean and also the MOB to show their performance art into protest art or risk losing their homes and jobs because of Emily's father's project. The film portrays how the use dance as a type of revolt to bring change.
Release: The film was released on July 27, 2012 in the usa and Canada by Summit Entertainment through Lionsgate. The first official trailer was launched on January 30, 2012. The second official trailer was released on March 30, 2012. The UK release date is scheduled for August 10, 2012.
